Back on... worked today

Hi,    Will see if I can get back on here next time, but on here today .  Now using Google Chrome hope that help.  Just removed last window today for cleaning and resealing.  What I've been up to lately...Painted an arrow and stripe on one side reminiscent of original paint. Will do other side if weather permits.  Second closet now painted. Painted some striping inside to cover old water damage spots that cannot be refinished and varnish.  Have put up new back-splash up and Ray rewired and installed new switch to fan.  After search for a counter solutions for stove top, found it all along in our basement on old kitchen cupboard section. Will attach photos of some of these updates.

Hi,  This will be my last post.  Due to continuing problems with accessing this account I will close this blog.  It has been fun to share this experience.  I have been working on the windows again.  Removing them, polishing and reinstalling with proper sealing.  Attached are before and after pics of one of them  Goodbye and happiness. Roof work

Hi,  Got another section of outer edge trim removed and goo scrapped off.  Also removed the fridge roof vent and discovered was not installed correctly.  Did not support framing and resulted in a low spot in roof.  Previous owners had put a huge thick layer of caulk and then for sealers on top of that. Will remove all of that and install a new vent correctly.  Also something.  Just keep doing a little at a time. And one day it will be done.

Got the long shelf across front reinstalled and made a bracket to help support the middle of it.  Will need to stain and varnish it yet.  Painted lower side walls that will be inside benches.  Ray helped me straighten out how the wiring for overhead light was going.  Put new sockets on the overhead light. Will reinstall that to day now that I know how.  Think I will do another coat of varnish on front walls, etc.  Just to make sure it looks even.

Interior appears kinda blue but it is pale beige.

One closet done!

Got one closet done.  :) Shelf and hanger rod resized, painted, resized door reinstalled, planed to fit.  Vanished trim around it too. Will post pic soon.  Feels great to get the first one done.  Now the other one, it still needs everything done but the door.  Resizing the doors to fit a challenge.  Now angled to fit side walls that are now at an angle to accomidate at full size mattress for the bed.  Bye for today.

A little more work done

Got ugly aluminum stove top tray removed.  Of course it was nailed under the countertop.  Had to loosen that up to pull the nails.  Have now figured out how I will install new stove top.  Will need to build a little box and top it with luan and same material using as backsplash.  Have to wait until get new side and backsplash up.  Too hot today to do more calculations, will do that another day.  Got little side wall of kitchen varnished and rest of the one closet primed.  Now to smelly in there to continue work inside trailer.  Ice tea time. 30 Minutes of Grinding

The cap on the right after 30 minutes of grinding.  Don't think they will be able to be chromed.  Especially since our local chromer business burnt up last year.  But still excited to see some shine come through.  Put dinnette benches back in yesterday :).

Reenergized!

Hi,  Really making some progress lately.  Have gotten 2 coats of varnish on front interior surfaces.  Ceiling replacement panel stained and one coat of varnish.  All interior window frames have at least one coat of paint.  Floor still needs finish scraping and got some more of that done.  Hope to reinstall benches this week. Working on one area until done seems to work for me.  No longer feel overwhelmed.

Hi,  Been a while.  Kinda was feeling overwhelmed by what all that needs to be done.  So haven't had much ambition to work on the trailer.  But I did today and am so glad.  Sanded front cabinet and walls and got a coat of varnish on them.  Want to get that area done soon so dinette bench and shelf can go back in.  Feels good to get something accomplished.  Need to do one little thing or big thing a day and stick to it.  Weather improvement should help that.  Bye for today.

Spring weather has arrived early

Finally warm enough to get back to work.  Got one of the closet doors resized.  Stained ceiling panel.  Stained trim.  Really like my new multi-tool Ray bought for me.  Great for sanding and cutting.  Able to make trim piece bendable with it.  Will be great for scraping tile goo off the floor.  Got another window resealed and reinstalled.  Think seal around movable window too thick will have to trim or use different seals.

Winter slow down

Hi  Not much to report as weather too cold for work on the camper.  Did purchase new full size mattress for it.  Also made a no sew fleece blanket for the bed.
